What is an event survey? Sent after an event
An event survey is a survey that is sent when something happens, such as a closed support ticket, instead of on a schedule.
An event survey goes out because something happened, such as a support ticket closing, a purchase completing or a customer finishing their first setup. It follows soon after, while the moment is fresh.
Event surveys and scheduled surveys
A scheduled survey goes to a group at regular times, for example every quarter. It suits scores about a whole relationship, such as NPS and eNPS.
An event survey suits scores about one moment, such as CSAT and CES.
How it is set up
You choose the event, who gets the survey and how long to wait after the event. Your own app can send an event, or a connected tool such as Zendesk can report one. Use a short delay, long enough that the person is not rushed.
Keep it fair
A daily limit caps surveys per person, even when every event triggers one. A segment can leave out people who should not be asked.
