How to use this template

  1. Pick the moment. Choose one event, such as a closed support ticket or a finished order.
  2. Paste and fill in the brackets. Replace the square brackets with your moment.
  3. Send it soon after. Send within a day, while the person remembers.
  4. Work out the score. Divide the 4s and 5s by all answers. If 80 of 100 people pick a 4 or 5, your CSAT is 80 percent. Read the low ratings first.

Tips for better answers

Ask about one moment only. "How satisfied are you with us?" is a job for NPS.

Label the ends of the scale so everyone reads the numbers the same way.

Keep the survey to the rating and one open question.

Read the 1s and 2s the same day and reply.
