Which should I use?
Start with what you want to happen after someone answers.
- One-off survey, quiz or sign-up form: use a form tool such as Typeform, SurveyMonkey or Google Forms. Our comparison of form and survey tools shows where they stop and a feedback tool begins.
- A program with many teams and custom research: look at an experience suite such as Qualtrics or Medallia. Our comparison of enterprise suites explains how they charge.
- Seeing how people use your product: Hotjar or Userpilot watch behavior and guide new users. Our comparison of in-product feedback tools shows where that ends and a score from known People begins.
- Customers posting and voting on ideas: use a board such as Canny. Our page on feature request boards shows how a board and a survey fit together.
- Reviews, goals and engagement for a whole company: look at Culture Amp, Lattice or 15Five. Our comparison of employee platforms covers when a short team pulse is enough.
- Testing the idea with a few people: a form and a spreadsheet are enough. When more than one person has to keep it going, or a low score must reach someone quickly, see our page on spreadsheets and DIY.
- Asking customers and your team every few months, sending a survey when something happens, and telling the right person about a low score: Pulseri is made for that. You pay by the number of People you track, and every answer is included.
Already looking at one product?
The head-to-head pages set one product next to Pulseri: Typeform, SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics and Hotjar. Each has a verdict, a section on when the other tool is better, and a plain account of how each charges. Canny has no separate page, because its category page covers it.
How we keep these pages honest
We name tools as text and never use their logos. Each fact about another tool carries a link to the page we read and the date we read it, listed under Sources. Where we give our own view, we say so.
We check these pages before they go stale. If a fact changes or we cannot confirm it, we remove it. If you spot something wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
Three questions to ask any vendor
How does the price change when I send twice as many surveys? Who will see a low score, and how fast? What do I take with me if I leave?
