What Typeform is for

Typeform is a form builder. It describes conversational logic that adapts to every response, and it lists templates for quizzes, research, feedback and lead generation 6. It suits sign-ups, quizzes, lead forms and surveys people fill in once. For a registration page, we would send you there.

Pulseri is a feedback tool for People you already know. It remembers who was asked and when, and sends a short survey at a moment you pick. If you rebuild lists, reminders and alerts by hand, read on.

How Typeform charges

Typeform sells plans by responses a month and by seats. Basic lists 100 responses and 1 seat, Plus lists 1,000 responses and 3 seats, and Business lists 10,000 responses and 5 seats. Collections above 50,000 responses a month need a talk with sales 1.

The plan page shows different prices in its cards and in its comparison table, so we quote no figure here. Read the page on the day you buy.

More answers mean a bigger plan. That is fine for a few surveys a year. It costs more when every customer answers every quarter.

How Pulseri charges

Pulseri counts People, the customers and team members you choose to track. Every answer is included. Larger teams can talk to us about an Enterprise plan.

From a form to a program

Typeform has an NPS template that asks promoters what they like, passives what would help, and detractors what went wrong 2. The follow-up is nicely done.

The template cannot decide who to ask. Send the same link to everyone each quarter and some people see it too often while others never do. Pulseri records when each person was last asked and waits before asking again. You can choose people by facts you hold, such as plan or sign-up date, and start a survey after an event such as a payment.

When a low score arrives

Typeform lists a Slack connection that sends responses to Slack in real time 3. It suits a steady trickle.

In Pulseri, a rule decides what counts as low, and only a matching answer sends a message to the channel you choose. The picture shows a score of 3 reaching a team.

Five steps: a customer scores 3, a rule for scores of 6 or lower matches, an alert is created, a message appears in the team chat and the team can follow up. A switch shows a score of 10: no alert, and a review request goes out instead.

Typeform also lists conditional logic on its Basic plan 5, which can change the next question based on an answer. It works inside one form and does not link the answer back to a list of People over time.

Where Typeform is ahead

Typeform wins on the look of a single form, since it says you can brand and customize every part of it 6. Pulseri lets you set the logo and colors of the in-app survey, and goes no further. Typeform also covers jobs Pulseri does not try to do, such as quizzes and lead capture.

Typeform lists single sign-on only on its Enterprise plan 4. If your company needs it, check your plan before you buy.

When Typeform is the better choice

Choose Typeform if you build many kinds of forms, send two or three surveys a year to people not yet in any list, or want to shape the look of every form.

Choose Pulseri if you ask the same People every few months, want each person asked once with a gap, want a message when a score is low, and want a price that does not move with answers.

Moving from Typeform

Move only the feedback you want to run all year.

  1. Export your people and past answers from Typeform and keep the file.
  2. Add the People you want to ask to Pulseri, with facts such as plan or team.
  3. Use the question you already ask, so people see wording they know.
  4. Choose a low-score rule and the chat channel that should hear about it.
  5. Send the first survey to a small group, check the alert, then widen it.

Put the switch date on any chart you share.

Common questions

It is good for a first round. Its NPS template asks a different follow-up depending on the score. You still choose who gets it, when, and who sees a low answer.
