What is ESAT? Employee satisfaction score

Employee satisfaction score (ESAT) shows the share of your team who said they were satisfied with one thing.

ESAT stands for employee satisfaction score. It is the team version of CSAT. It asks how satisfied people are with one thing, such as their first week, a new tool or a recent change, not the whole workplace.

How the score works

People answer on a scale from 1 to 5. A 4 or 5 is satisfied, a 3 is neutral, and a 1 or 2 is dissatisfied. Your ESAT is the share of answers that are a 4 or a 5. If 18 of 24 people pick a 4 or 5, your ESAT is 75 percent.

When to use it

Ask soon after the thing you want to learn about, with one rating and one open question. Use eNPS for a regular check on the whole company and ESAT for a specific topic.

In Pulseri, ESAT follows the same relationship cooldown as eNPS.

Keep it fair

Tell your team why you are asking, then act visibly on the answers. When nothing changes, people stop answering, which leads to survey fatigue.
