How to use this template
- Pick one topic. Choose one thing, such as onboarding, a new tool or a change in how your team works.
- Paste and fill in the brackets. Replace the square brackets with your topic.
- Ask at the right time. Ask soon after the event. Onboarding questions work in the first weeks.
- Work out the score and act. Divide the 4s and 5s by all answers. If 18 of 24 people pick a 4 or 5, your ESAT is 75 percent. Share the result and one thing you will change.
Tips for better answers
Ask about one topic per survey. "How satisfied are you with onboarding?" leads to a clear fix. "How satisfied are you at work?" does not.
Label both ends of the scale.
Report on groups large enough that no one can be picked out.
Tell your team what you learned and what you will change. People who see change answer next time.
