Import people, groups and traits from a file

Upload a CSV or Excel file, or paste rows, check them first, and let Pulseri import them in the background.

The People, Groups and Traits pages now have an Import button. Upload a CSV or Excel file, paste rows from a spreadsheet, or try the sample file. Pulseri matches your columns to its fields, checks the whole file without writing anything, and tells you how many records it would create or update, which rows fail and why, and whether the import fits your plan.

The import then runs in the background with live progress, and you can close the window. Rows that fail are skipped and listed in an error report you can download. Files can hold up to 50,000 rows and 20 MB.

Imports follow the same rules as everything else: existing records are updated only if you can edit them, new people count against your plan, and an erased person stays erased. A people file can name a group in a column, and Pulseri creates the group when it does not exist yet. While an import runs, other imports of the same data wait for it to finish.
